Joes Valley Lake Report

Joes Valley Reservoir, located on the eastern slope of the Wasatch Plateau, is a 1,200 acre lake set attractively 7,000 feet up in the forests of the Manti-La Sal Mountains. Boating, fishing, water skiing, and personal watercraft are popular at the lake. There are many surrounding mountain lakes and streams to be fished, many secluded camping hideaways and hundreds of miles for ATV trail riding.

The lake is stocked with rainbow and cutthroat trout. Joes Valley is famous for Trophy Splake and is a favorite of local sportsmen. The mountains offer world-class hunting and fishing along with camping, picnicking and boating.

Joes Valley Reservoir is located approximately 13 miles west of Orangeville, Utah on SR 29. Aquatics Manager Paul Birdsey commented that Joes Valley is one of the best ice fishing destinations in the state.
